It's funny to think about it, but I remember that after the first couple listens of It's Blitz! I thought it was a huge disappointment. Something funny happened after about a dozen listens. I suddenly realized that it was by far the best album from a pretty talented band. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a remarkably adept and varied band that do a lot of things really well. On their first 2 LPs I though they tried a bit too hard to show off their garage band chops while ignoring their obvious knack for softer, tender tunes. As will be seen in the list below, I have a soft spot for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' soft spots.
