The trio from Wales consisting of Kelly Jones (who has one of the best voices in the business), Richard Jones and Javier Weyler, has had 5 consequetive albums reach number one in the British Charts. Despite this the band is often described as being on a decline, with the first album (Word Gets Around) never having being matched by the bands subsequent albums in terms of quality, although Pull the Pin could be described as a return to the "Stereophonics of old". Stereophonics have never really enjoyed much popularity outside of the UK, with only their single "Dakota" charting in the US.
